Miranda Family Hospital (MFH), located at Km. 1, Surigao City, is a First Referral-Secondary general hospital. Founded in 1980 by Dr. Josefino P. Miranda and the late Mrs. Asuncion “Nini” J. Miranda, R.N., it has established itself as a premier health service provider in the region. Continuing with a tradition for excellence, MFH aims to provide technical yet friendly and dedicated service by ably-trained personnel in superior facilities.

MFH continues to meet the needs of the city and province for high-quality health care, while containing costs that have risen with national and global trends. It presently employs over 50 individuals composed of medical and business professionals as well as working students. It maintains the largest body of accredited physicians and specialists of any hospital in the province.

Today, MFH is systematically improving its service processes to international business standards and upgrading its facilities and equipment according to the latest technological trends.

Recently, MFH launched the Drug Testing Laboratory (the first and only hospital-based drug testing laboratory in CARAGA) and will soon open its new Ward-a facility dedicated to fulfilling MFH’s social commitments to the community.

In the very near future, MFH will open its new Surgery, Orthopedics, Kidney Dialysis Center, Urology Laboratory, Obstetrics-Gynecology and Pediatrics departments and raise its accreditation to the next level.
