Dr. Josefino "Peping" Palacio
Miranda was born on November 19, 1939. He graduated Doctor
of Medicine at the Cebu (Velez) General Hospital College of
Medicine at the age of 21. He was married to the late
Asuncion "Nini" Basubas Miranda, R.N. with whom he laid the
foundations for the Miranda Family Hospital.
A well-respected community
leader, Dr. Miranda was chapter president and founding
member of both the Rotary Club of Metro Surigao and the
Surigao Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also once
served as Vice President for the national Jaycees.
Dr. Miranda continues to
contribute his time and resources to notable civic projects
in the local community, partnering with NGOs to conduct
humanitarian missions.
